I'm So Looking Forward to Meeting Your Little One!

Newborn sessions generally take place when baby is 4-12 days old. When booking we will decide on a date in this general time frame and will finalize the date and time after baby's arrival.

All newborn sessions are in-home sessions which means I bring everything to you! When I arrive to your home it takes me around 30-45 minutes to set everything up. This is the perfect time for you to undress baby down to a diaper, wrap them in a blanket, and give them a good feeding.

I will bring a space heater to keep baby comfortable during the session and ask that (if possible) you keep the air conditioning temperature around 74-78 degrees. It is best for you to dress in layers since the area may feel warm to an adult.

The session will consist of photos of baby wrapped, unwrapped (if included in your session), in an outfit (possibly multiple outfits if they allow if included in your session), and in props. I provide all wraps, outfits, backdrops, etc. and they will be in color coordinating tones so that the photos flow together to make a cohesive gallery. If you have anything sentimental you would like them to pose with or wear please let me know in advance so that I can coordinate a setup to include your item(s).

Everything is at baby's pace. If they are not comfortable in a certain pose or prop, we will move on to something else. We can always try again when baby is settled, but no prop or pose is guaranteed. Baby's safety and happiness is my top priority!

If an older sibling is joining it is best for them to only join during the time their photo is being taken. These sessions can be quite long and boring to children (especially toddlers)!

The session will take anywhere from 1 to 3 1/2 hours, depending on which type of session is booked. If baby is in a deep sleep it is possible to end a bit sooner, and if they need to frequently be settled then it can take longer.
